Winery

Aalto Bodegas y Viñedos was founded in 1999 in Quintanilla de Arriba (Valladolid) by two key figures in the history of Spanish wine: Mariano García, winemaker at Vega Sicilia for three decades, and Javier Zaccagnini, former director of the Ribera del Duero Regulatory Council. Their vision was clear: to create a wine of the highest quality, with its own identity and true to the essence of the region’s old vineyards.

Aalto’s vineyards are spread across more than 200 plots of Tempranillo (Tinto Fino), located in different municipalities within the designation, which provides unique richness and complexity. The winery combines traditional techniques with a contemporary approach to winemaking precision, resulting in deep, elegant wines with great aging potential.

Today, Aalto is synonymous with excellence, balance and modernity, a project that continues to set the pace in Ribera del Duero and strengthen its international prestige year after year.
