La Seca (Valladolid)

Sanz

Fundada en 1870

Vinos Sanz, founded in 1870, is the oldest winery in the Rueda Designation of Origin. Located in La Seca (Valladolid), in the heart of Rueda’s “Golden Triangle”, it specialises in high-quality white wines made mainly from the native Verdejo grape. The winery stands out for its commitment to sustainability and innovation, combining tradition and technology to offer wines that truly reflect the authenticity of the terroir.

History

The story of Vinos Sanz began in 1870, when the Donato family committed to producing white wines in La Seca, using the Verdejo variety, which was then largely unknown. Over the years, the winery has evolved, with successive generations maintaining and expanding the family legacy. Today, under the leadership of the Carbajo family, Vinos Sanz remains a benchmark in the region’s viticulture.
