Palacio de fefiñanes
Fundada en 1904
Bodegas del Palacio de Fefiñanes has been crafting Albariños with an Atlantic personality from the historic baroque palace of Cambados. Its vineyards, scattered throughout the Val do Salnés, are cultivated on granitic soils under a maritime climate, with manual harvesting and strict grape selection. In the winery, stainless steel and ageing on lees are employed to produce precise and age-worthy wines such as Albariño de Fefiñanes, 1583, and III Año.
History
Founded in 1904 by the Viscount of Fefiñanes, the estate was a pioneer in bottling and labelling Albariño, launching a dedicated brand as early as 1928. It played a key role in the establishment of the Rías Baixas D.O. and has remained under family management, currently led by Juan Gil de Araújo. Through research on lees ageing and old vines, it has consolidated a signature style that is elegant, deep, long-lived, and distinctly its own.
