Hnos. Lurton Jaques & François
Fundada en 1992
Bodega Hermanos Lurton, founded in 1992 by Jacques and François Lurton, specialises in producing wines in the Rueda and Toro Denominations of Origin. In Rueda, the winery is renowned for its organic Verdejo, while in Toro it produces red wines from Tinta de Toro using sustainable viticultural practices. Native yeasts and barrel fermentation are employed to preserve and enhance the terroir expression in both regions.
History
The story of Hermanos Lurton began in Rueda in 1992, when the brothers discovered the potential of the native Verdejo variety. Passionate about this grape, they helped to redefine the style of wines from the appellation.
They later expanded into the D.O. Toro, acquiring vineyards of Tinta de Toro and applying their philosophy of ecological and sustainable winemaking across both regions.
