Chiroubles (Beaujolais)
Caves Emile Cheysson
Fundada en 1868
Caves Emile Cheysson produces Gamay wines on the high, granitic slopes of the Chiroubles cru, within the Beaujolais region. The vineyard’s cool climate and steep slopes favour fragrant, light, and very refined red wines, as well as the occasional sparkling production. At the winery, they combine steel and oak to preserve purity and texture, aiming for elegance, vivid red fruit, and a strongly defined mountain character.
History
The estate was founded in the 19th century and still operates from a historic 17th-century cellar. The Cheysson family has maintained a continuous winemaking tradition ever since, cultivating old vineyards and earning a solid reputation for their Chiroubles wines. Today, the house continues to combine tradition and technical precision to produce award-winning wines highly rated by international guides and competitions.
