Agro de Bazán
Fundada en 1981
Agro de Bazán Winery, also known as Granbazán, is located in the parish of Tremoedo, in Vilanova de Arousa, within the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin. Founded in 1981, it specialises in producing single-varietal Albariño white wines, grown in granitic soils and an Atlantic microclimate. The winery stands out for its neoclassical architecture, inspired by French châteaux, and for its commitment to quality and innovation in viticulture.
History
The story of Agro de Bazán begins in 1981, when Manuel Otero, a canning entrepreneur from Cambados, decided to transform a eucalyptus hillside into an Albariño vineyard and build a winery on the Tremoedo estate. In 2017, the winery was acquired by Pedro Martínez Hernández, who also owns Bodegas Baigorri in La Rioja. He has driven its expansion and modernisation, establishing it as one of the most renowned wineries in Galicia.
