Bodega Viña Leizaola is located in the El Sacramento paraje, near Laguardia, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Inaugurated in 2018, the winery blends contemporary architecture with a deep respect for the natural surroundings. It produces high-end wines under the “El Sacramento” label, known for their elegance and expression of terroir. A focus on sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention in the winery reflects its strong commitment to quality.
History
Viña Leizaola was founded by Etienne Cordonnier Leizaola, a descendant of a family with winemaking roots in Belgium and France. In 2011, he acquired the El Sacramento estate, launching the project with the vision of crafting wines that would reflect his Basque heritage. The winery officially opened in 2018, cementing its dedication to excellence and innovation in Rioja Alavesa.
