Finca Torremilanos

Fundada en 1903

Finca Torremilanos, located in Aranda de Duero, is a pioneering winery in the practice of biodynamic agriculture within the Ribera del Duero. With 200 hectares of estate-owned vineyards, the estate cultivates native varieties such as Tempranillo, Merlot, and Albillo, using organic and biodynamic viticulture. It produces wines under the Ribera del Duero, Castilla y León, and Cava denominations, and is known for its deep commitment to sustainability and quality.

History

While the winemaking tradition at Finca Torremilanos dates back to 1903, its modern era began in 1975 when the Peñalba López family acquired the estate. Driven by their belief in the potential of Tempranillo, they expanded vineyard holdings to the current 200 hectares. In 2011, the winery earned organic certification from CAECYL, becoming one of the first in the region to embrace biodynamic farming. In 2015, Torremilanos made history as the first winery in Ribera del Duero to receive Demeter biodynamic certification, marking a major milestone in its commitment to regenerative agriculture and natural balance.
